Tulip Time in Holland, Michigan

Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Tues., May 8 - Celebrate spring as we travel to Holland, Michigan, which comes alive when six million tulip bulbs bloom during their annual Tulip Time Festival.  We depart Barrie, Kozlov Mall at 7:30a.m. and the Tour Office at 8:00a.m.  (Overnight parking is available at the Tour Office).Remember to bring with you your Valid Canadian Passport for the border crossing into the USA. Please keep this document with you and be prepared to present it at the border.  We cross the Blue Water Bridge from Sarnia to Port Huron, and travel into the heart of Michigan for a three-night stay. (D).
Day 2: Wed., May 9 - This morning includes a guided tour of the area, followed by a visit to the Dutch Village, where we step back into the Netherlands of over 100 years ago, complete with authentic Dutch architecture, flowering gardens, canals and windmills. After a light lunch, we visit a Tulip Farm, and then enjoy a group dinner including entertainment by the Klompen dancers who perform in turn of the century costumes and wooden shoes.  (B, L, D).
Day 3: Thurs., May 10
- After breakfast we visit the Windmill Island Gardens. Enjoy the Evergreen luncheon show “Let there be Music”, followed by reserved seating for the Kinder costume parade in which hundreds of schoolchildren participate depicting Holland’s heritage.  This afternoon includes a visit to the Dutch Marktplaats where local artisans display their forms of art including delft, lace and Dutch treats.  Dinner this evening includes entertainment by “New Odyssey”, as they perform timeless music. (B, L, D).
Day 4: Fri., May 11 - This morning we begin our journey home, stopping at the duty free and crossing at Port Huron. We will arrive back in Barrie at approximately 8:00p.m. (B).

Tour includes: motor coach transportation with tour director, 3 nights’ accommodation, hotel taxes, baggage handling for 1 suitcase each, 8 meals, admissions as listed in the itinerary, duty free shopping & HST EXEMPT.

PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP:

A Valid Canadian Passport
- the best form of Identification

As of June 1, 2009, a Valid Canadian passport is required for those travelling to the United States by land, air or cruise ship.

Canadian Residents Holding non-Canadian Passports: Upon entry into the USA by land, you must fill out Form I-94, and pay $6 US per person. Upon your return to Canada, the form must be presented to the customs office as proof that you have left the USA.

Hamilton Tours staff advise passengers of their travel document requirements, but we will not be responsible for passengers denied access to the US, or for re-entry into Canada. If this happens, you will be responsible for your own transportation home.

To facilitate border crossing, please keep your identification on your person.
