Agawa Canyon Fall Colour Tour including Mackinac Island & Frankenmuth, Michigan

Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Tues., Sept. 25 –The tour will depart from the Tour Office at 7:00 a.m., Barrie, Kozlov Mall at 7:30 a.m. & Orillia at 8:00a.m. (Overnight parking is available at the Tour Office) Today our destination will be Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario staying at the Quality Inn for 2 nights.  Enjoy a group dinner at the hotel and the rest of the evening is free to relax or visit the Kewadin Casino next door and try your luck. (D).
Day 2: Wed., Sept. 26 –Today’s itinerary includes the highlight of our tour - the Agawa Canyon Train Trip with breakfast & lunch served on board the train. A stop in the Canyon at noon will allow time for photos and a stroll along one of the many walking paths.  (B & L)
Day 3: Thurs., Sept. 27 - After breakfast we depart the hotel for Mackinac Island.  Remember to bring with you your Valid Canadian Passport for the border crossing into the USA.  Please keep this document with you and be prepared to present it at the border.  We will travel to Mackinaw City and take the ferry to Mackinac Island.  We tour the island by horse drawn wagons. The island is unique in that there are only three motorized vehicles on the island:  the fire truck, police car & ambulance. This afternoon enjoy a group luncheon at the Grand Hotel and free time in the afternoon to explore the island.  We will stay overnight in Mackinaw City, Michigan at the Hamilton Inn.   (B & L)
Day 4: Fri., Sept. 28 –Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for Frankenmuth, staying overnight in Birch Run, Michigan at the Hampton Inn.  In the afternoon, we will have time to visit Bronner’s Christmas Store.   We will enjoy a group dinner at the Bavarian Inn.  This evening we will shuttle passengers who wish to shop at the Birch Run Outlet Mall. (B & D)
Day 5: Sat., Sept. 29 –Following a group breakfast we will depart for home. We will stop for duty free shopping & meal breaks enroute home.  Return to Barrie will be at approximately 7:00p.m. (B)

Tour includes: motor coach transportation with tour director, 4 nights hotel, hotel taxes, baggage handling, admissions as outlined in the itinerary, Agawa Canyon Train trip, Ferry Crossing, Horse Drawn Carriage tour of Mackinac Island, 8 meals, duty free shopping & HST on the Canadian portion only.

PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP:

A Valid Canadian Passport
- the best form of Identification

As of June 1, 2009, a Valid Canadian passport is required for those travelling to the United States by land, air or cruise ship.

Canadian Residents Holding non-Canadian Passports: Upon entry into the USA by land, you must fill out Form I-94, and pay $6 US per person. Upon your return to Canada, the form must be presented to the customs office as proof that you have left the USA.

Hamilton Tours staff advise passengers of their travel document requirements, but we will not be responsible for passengers denied access to the US, or for re-entry into Canada. If this happens, you will be responsible for your own transportation home.

To facilitate border crossing, please keep your identification on your person.
