Washington, Williamsburg & Gettysburg
Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Thurs. May 13 – The tour will depart from the Barrie, Kozlov Mall at 7:30a.m., and the Tour Office at 8:00 a.m. (Overnight parking is available at our Tour Office). This morning we travel to Lewisburg and check in to our hotel, the Best Western Country Cupboard for a 1-night stay. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)
Day: 2 Fri., May 14 – This morning we join an expert battlefield guide for a visit to the Gettysburg National Military Park; the site of three days of ferocious fighting that marked an important turning point in the Civil War and changed the course of American history forever, where Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous Gettysburg Address. We will have time to visit the recently opened and awe-inspiring $135-million Museum and Visitor Center. Later this afternoon we travel on to Washington for a 2-night stay. We visit the Vietnam, Korean, and Second World War Memorials. Dinner is included this evening followed by an illuminated tour including the Air Force Memorial, the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park, The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial and the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials. (B & D)
Day: 3 Sat., May 15 - This morning we depart the hotel and meet our guide for a tour of Arlington National cemetery- the most sacred square mile in America. We will also make a stop at the Marine Corps War Museum- Iwo Jima. Lunch will be on your own at the Reagan International Trade Centre followed by a photo opportunity of The White House. Our afternoon visits include the Ford Theatre, the National Portrait Gallery and the Hall of Presidents. We enjoy a group dinner this evening. (B & D)
Day 4: Sun., May 16 – This morning after breakfast, we make a stop at the base of Capitol Hill for a photo opportunity followed by time to visit the Smithsonian Institute where you can explore the National Air and Space Museum, Hirshorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the National Museums of Art, Natural History, American History and the National Art Gallery. We will depart the museum at 2:30p.m. and travel to Williamsburg, Va, check into our hotel and enjoy dinner. (B & D).
Day 5: Mon., May 17 – We begin our visit with a tour of Williamsburg and enjoy a four-hour sampling admission to the restored Century Capital of Virginia on a 173-acre historic site. Following lunch on your own at Merchants Square, we travel to Jamestown for a guided tour of the first settlement that commemorates the first English settlement in the New World. Dinner is included at the Cracker Barrel this evening. (B & D)
Day 6: Tues., May 18 - We depart the hotel this morning and travel to Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love. Enjoy a guided city tour including visits to the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin’s Gravesite, the Betsy Ross house and a stop at the State House of Pennsylvania. We enjoy a group dinner prior to checking into our hotel. (B & D)
Day 7: Wed., May 19 – We depart the Philadelphia area and start our journey towards home. Our overnight stay will be in Syracuse, N.Y. (B)
Day 8: Thurs., May 20 – We will depart for home at 8:00a.m., via Kingston. We will stop for duty free shopping and meal breaks enroute home. Return to Barrie at approx. 9:00p.m. (B)
Tour includes: motor coach transportation with tour director, 7 nights hotel & taxes, baggage handling, 7 breakfasts, 6 dinners, guided tours, all admissions listed & GST EXEMPT.

PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP:
A Valid Canadian Passport - the best form of Identification
As of June 1, 2009, a Valid Canadian passport is required for those travelling to the United States by land, air or cruise ship.
Canadian Residents Holding non-Canadian Passports: Upon entry into the USA by land, you must fill out Form I-94, and pay $6 US per person. Upon your return to Canada, the form must be presented to the customs office as proof that you have left the USA.
Hamilton Tours staff advise passengers of their travel document requirements, but we will not be responsible for passengers denied access to the US, or for re-entry into Canada. If this happens, you will be responsible for your own transportation home.
To facilitate border crossing, please keep your identification on your person.
