Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Oceanfront Holiday and the Outer banks of North Carolina

Join us as we return to a favourite destination.  The tour will stay at the Caribbean Resort while in Myrtle Beach

Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Wed., Apr. 11 –The tour will depart from Barrie, Kozlov Mall at 7:30a.m., Barrie, Tollendale Village at 7:50a.m., The Terraces at 8:00a.m. &  the Tour Office at 8:30a.m. (Overnight parking is available at our Tour Office.) Remember to bring with you your Valid Canadian Passport for the border crossing into the USA.  Please keep this document with you and be prepared to present it at the border.  Our overnight stay is in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
Day 2: Thurs., Apr. 12 –Following a light breakfast we will travel to Mount Airy, North Carolina for overnight stay at the Hampton Inn, the birthplace and childhood home of American actor Andy Griffith.  Fans of The Andy Griffith Show can visit Floyd’s City Barber Shop, the Old Mayberry Jail and Snappy Lunch. (B)
Day 3: Fri., Apr. 13 - Following a light breakfast we will depart for Myrtle Beach. The tour will be staying at the Caribbean Resort & Villas for 7 nights which features ocean front efficiency rooms (Jr. Suites) with private balconies overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  The hotel offers both indoor & outdoor pool, whirlpool, laundry facilities, sauna & private beach.   After our check-in at the Caribbean, the coach will take our group to the local grocery store to purchase supplies. (B)
Day 4: Sat., Apr. 14 –Today is a free day to enjoy the resort, optional shopping in the afternoon.  This evening we will enjoy a group dinner and then attend the Carolina Opry. (D).
Day 5: Sun., Apr. 15 –Optional visit to Barefoot Landing and shopping this afternoon.  Dinner this evening is at” Giant Crab Seafood Buffet” followed by our annual Mini putt Golf at Captain Hooks’. (D)
Day 6: Mon., Apr. 16 - Today is a free day to enjoy the resort.
Day 7: Tues., Apr. 17 –This morning’s highlight will be a boat cruise with Captain Rod’s Low Country Plantation Lighthouse tour followed by lunch in Georgetown. (L).
Day 8: Wed., Apr. 18 –Today, enjoy a free day at the resort followed by dinner at “The Sea Captains House”. (D).
Day 9: Thurs. Apr. 19 – Enjoy your last day at the beach and then on our last evening in Myrtle Beach enjoy dinner at the Chesapeake House followed by the Alabama Theatre performance of  “One”. (D).
Day 10: Fri., Apr. 20 –Today we depart the hotel after breakfast at “The Captains House”, and travel to Kitty Hawk and check into the Hilton Garden Inn. (B)
Day 11: Sat., Apr. 21 - This morning after breakfast, we depart for a visit to the Wright Brothers Memorial and Museum and then have free time for lunch at Manteo Waterfront Village on Roanoke Island and enjoy the quaint little shops that line the boardwalk. This afternoon we tour the replica sailing ship, Elizabeth II, visit the settlement, and learn about the Lost Colony.  Dinner this evening is “Basnight's Lone Cedar”. The restaurant overlooks the sound and nesting site of Osprey's Ricky and Lucy!  (B, D)
Day 12: Sun., Apr. 22 –This morning we depart for Cape Hatteras National Seashore, with a stop by Bodie Island Lighthouse for photos, then head to Cape Hatteras Light, the tallest in the U.S.  We then board the ferry and travel to Ocracoke Island which includes a lunch buffet. There will be free time to enjoy village of Ocracoke, shopping or walk to the lighthouse for photos before returning to our hotel.  (B, L)
Day 13: Mon., Apr. 23 - This morning we depart for Lewisburg, Penn.  This evening we will enjoy a group dinner and overnight stay at the Best Western Country Cupboard Inn. (B, D)
Day 14: Tues., Apr. 24 –Following breakfast we will depart for home, stopping at the duty free before entering Canada.  We will return to Barrie at approximately 9:00 p.m. (B)

Tour includes: motor coach transportation with tour director, 13 nights hotel accommodation, baggage handling for 1 large suitcase each, hotel taxes, 7 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 6 evening dinners, miniature golf tournament,  admissions as listed in the itinerary, and shuttle to local shopping, duty free shopping & HST EXEMPT.

PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP:

A Valid Canadian Passport
- the best form of Identification

As of June 1, 2009, a Valid Canadian passport is required for those travelling to the United States by land, air or cruise ship.

Canadian Residents Holding non-Canadian Passports: Upon entry into the USA by land, you must fill out Form I-94, and pay $6 US per person. Upon your return to Canada, the form must be presented to the customs office as proof that you have left the USA.

Hamilton Tours staff advise passengers of their travel document requirements, but we will not be responsible for passengers denied access to the US, or for re-entry into Canada. If this happens, you will be responsible for your own transportation home.

To facilitate border crossing, please keep your identification on your person.
