Monday, June 14 to Friday, June 18, 2010
Scott’s Lake Resort, New York State
As we celebrate our 25th year in business – join us as we return to the Family owned Scott’s Resort! At Scott’s you’ll find a friendly, homelike atmosphere with old fashioned hospitality.
Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Mon. June 14 - The tour will depart from Barrie, Kozlov Mall at 7:00a.m., Sandy Cove Acres at 7:30a.m. (with 10 passengers or more) & the Tour Office at 8:00a.m. (Overnight parking is available at our office) Remember to bring with you Canadian Passport for the border crossing into the USA. Today is a travelling day to Deposit, New York where we will check into Scott’s Resort for our 4 night stay.
Day 2, 3, 4: June 15, 16 & 17 - While on vacation at Oquaga Lake House Resort we will have 3 delicious meals and a day, unlimited activities and programs. Since 1869 six generations of Scotts have operated a family resort up on the mountain out of Deposit, NY on picturesque Oquaga Lake. The present facility encompasses nearly 1100 acres which include 2 scenic 9 hole golf courses, tennis courts (outdoors and indoors), softball diamond, bocce and shuffleboard courts, a separate pitch & putt golf course, putting green, Swedish exercise course, and many beautiful NY State wooded areas with numerous walking trails. The main building includes a comfortable, homey lobby, a dining room seating up to 300, and a number of guest rooms. Other guest rooms are in adjoining annex buildings, and various sized lakefront cottages. One focal point for fun, is a large playhouse on the lakefront which includes an old fashioned soda fountain, pool tables, ping pong, and some old fashioned bowling alleys. … . plus other amusement games. On the lakefront is a large show room with a 3200 sq. ft. hardwood dance floor (a dream come true for dancers of all kinds . . . ballroom, country, square and folk), all of this is part of the everyday program at Scotts. There's also a stage for live shows and entertainment 7 nights a week. The waterfront at the playhouse is always alive with swimming, canoeing, boating, speedboat rides, water-skiing or a ride on the showboat . . . a fixture on Oquaga Lake for many years with its sing-along cruises. Presently, Mom & Pop Scott (Ray and Doris), plus two daughters, their husbands and children all work in different capacities at the resort. Although there are professional entertainers of cruise ship variety, every night, twice a week, 9 members of the Scott Family present a Broadway Type Musical Revue . . . some say their family show sets the mood and character of this rather unique resort with its old fashioned country charm.
Day 5: Fri., June 18 - This morning following breakfast we will depart for home. We will stop for duty free shopping & meal breaks enroute home. Return to Barrie at approx. 9:00p.m.
Tour includes: motor coach transportation with tour director, 4 nights at Scotts, baggage handling, hotel taxes, 4 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 4 dinners, all recreation and evening entertainment, unlimited free golf, tennis, waterskiing, all other sports, bowling and activities, shuttle to shopping, Duty Free shopping & GST EXEMPT.
Cost per person:
Twin $860.00 & Single $800.00
At Scott’s Oquaga Lake Resort – guests are charged a resort rate per person. You will note that Singles are paying less than a Twin or Triple – they will be receiving all of the same programs and activities but will be staying in a room that is slightly smaller, because they are not sharing with anyone. Therefore we can pass on this saving to our customers who choose to travel as a Single.
A $400.00 deposit is required upon booking, with the balance due May 9, 2010 .
RBC Travel Insurance is available through our office at the
time of booking at an additional charge.
