Visit the Royal Ontario Museum and experience the Maya Exhibit
Their history is shrouded in mystery. Their civilization guided by the stars. Their secrets have remained buried for centuries - until now. Journey through the mysterious land of the ancient Maya at the Royal Ontario Museum in the world premiere of the landmark exhibition, Maya: Secrets of their Ancient World. On display until April 9, 2012, this original exhibition vibrantly brings to life the Classic Period (250 - 900 CE) of this ancient Mesoamerican culture and features many never-before-seen artifacts.
Nearly 250 artifacts have been assembled, including large sculptures, ceramics, masks, and jewelry, to tell the story of their sacred rulers, inspired architectural feats, elaborate writing system, bloodletting rituals and cosmology of death and resurrection. As well, the exhibition explores the truth behind the 2012 end-of-days legend and the puzzling collapse of their civilization. We also learn of the modern Maya, a vigorous culture, inspired by their ancestors’ great achievements that can be found in present-day Mexico, Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

Includes:
1 hour guided tour of the timed exhibit, general admission & free time to explore the ROM and High Tea at the “Old Mill” Restaurant completes our day.

Tommy Hunter: Canada’s Travelin’ Man in concert
at  Casino Rama

Canada's 'Travelin' man, has embarked on his last cross Canada tour – resting his guitar against a stool for the last time by the close of 2012 and his 75th year.
Tommy Hunter, affectionately known to his legion of fans as Canada's country gentleman came into our living room for 36 years – first on Country Hoedown and later on The Tommy Hunter Show. His endearing stage presence and familiar voice brings back a simpler time and place – when the family gathered around the television on Friday night to watch the Tommy Hunter show – a ritual that was well established and time honoured regardless of what pocket of the country you lived in. Almost as popular as the music, was the reading at the close of the show - reflective and comforting – and for many a moment not to be missed.
The final cross Canada tour will for one last time, give fans an opportunity to enjoy in concert, songs such as "You Are My Sunshine", "I'll Fly Away", "Amazing Grace" "Man of 87" "King of The Road", "Daisy A Day" and of course his signature song, "Travelin' Man".
