Monday, July 6 to Saturday, July 11, 2009
The Polar Bear Express - this tour takes you as far north in Ontario as most travellers ever go!

Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Mon., July 6 - The tour departs from the Tour Office at 6:30a.m. & Barrie, Kozlov Mall at 7:00a.m. & Orillia, Zehrs at 7:30 a.m. (Overnight parking is available at the Tour Office) Today our tour takes us to New Liskeard for an overnight stay at the Quality Inn. A group dinner will be included this evening. (D).
Day 2: Tues., July 7 – This morning after breakfast we depart for Cochrane. Upon arrival, we will have the opportunity to visit Cochrane’s newest attraction, the Polar Bear and Heritage Village. Our overnight stay will be at the Station Inn. (B)
Day 3: Wed., July 8 – Enjoy breakfast in Cochrane before boarding the Polar Bear Express to Moosonee for a remarkable 186 mile trip across the tundra line into the far reaches of northern Ontario. Upon arrival in Moosonee we will be met by our guide for a tour and a short boat ride will bring us to Moose Factory, for our group dinner and overnight stay at the EcoLodge. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Thurs., July 9
- Following breakfast, we continue our tour of Moose Factory and then board the train in Moosonee for our return trip to Cochrane. Dinner will be served on the train and our overnight stay will be at the Station Inn in Cochrane. (B & D).
Day 5: Fri., July 10 – After breakfast we will depart for Sudbury staying overnight at the Hampton Inn. (B)
Day 6: Sat., July 11 – Following breakfast we will visit Dynamic Earth, a Science North attraction where you can explore the mighty forces of nature. Descend deep inside the earth in a glass-enclosed elevator in the 7-storey Inco Chasm while enjoying a state-of-the-art multimedia show! This afternoon we will visit Science North including the Imax Theatre presentation. We will depart Sudbury for home at 3:30p.m. stopping for dinner in Parry Sound at the Log Cabin Restaurant. (B & D)
Tour includes: return motor coach transportation with tour director, 5 nights hotel & taxes, baggage handling, 10 meals, return train trip, admissions as outlined in the itinerary and GST.
